Types of Hijrah and travelling to the lands of Kufr

Image
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم Firstly, Hijrah from land of kufr to land of islaam as the people of knowledge have said, is a must upon one who cannot establish his religious duties and practice his deen openly without being opposed, if he is able to practice his deen without being opposed then it's not a must rather recommended. If a person is from the land of Islām then it's not permissible for him to travel to the land of kufr as it constitutes a danger on his deen, his character, could be a waste of wealth, a kind of support to the economy of the land of Kufr. O you who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are close to you, and let them find harshness in you; and know that Allâh is with those who are Al-Muttaqûn [9:123] This is when one has the ability, strenth and power. مَا كَانَ لِأَهۡلِ ٱلۡمَدِينَةِ وَمَنۡ ح...

Noble manners: 4 matters that are regarded as pillars of morals and manners

Image
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم The Prophet ﷺ said “ Verily, I have only been sent to perfect noble character ” or  “ righteous character. ” In islām virtuous conduct and complete good manners are encouraged. In fact when asked about the greatest of what a person may enter Jannah with, the Prophet ﷺ replied “ Having taqwa of الله and good character. ” And he ﷺ  also said “ Verily, the dearest of you to me and the closest of you to  me on the Day of Judgment will be those of you who are best  in conduct. ” So a Muslim must pay proper care, attention and have a great concern regarding this as it's the epitome of his happiness and success in dunya and Ākhirah. Islāmic mannerisms are based on four pillars. The first pillar is controlling and safeguarding the tounge, it's an essential principal for morals and manners, their foundations and strong supports are established upon it. Speech of tounge must be controlled and restricted to what is good for as long as the speech is not s...

Third matter: Calling to it

Image
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم The third matter is Calling to it- meaning calling to the prescribed way which الله Gave us through the Messenger ﷺ So the Daʿwah is  Daʿwah  to Tawḥīd and obedience which is the the task of the Messengers and their followers. [12:108] قُلۡ هَٰذِهِۦ سَبِيلِىٓ أَدۡعُوٓاْ إِلَى ٱللَّهِۚ عَلَىٰ بَصِيرَةٍ أَنَا۠ وَمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَنِىۖ Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم): "This is my way; I invite unto Allâh (i.e. to the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism) with sure knowledge, I and whosoever follows me (also must invite others to Allâh i.e. to the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism with sure knowledge). If one perfects his knowledge and his action accordingly then he must convey the good to others in accordance with the objective laid down by الله to His Messengers in inviting people to Tawḥīd as there is great goodness in it for himself and for others and it's reward from الله is abundant if done with sincerity. Prophet ﷺ said addressing ʿAlī رضي الل...

Second matter: Actions upon Knowledge

Image
﷽ Acting upon the knowledge one gains The second matter mentioned by the author is action upon the knowledge. It means action upon the knowledge which one has acquired. This is in fact one of the main reasons to acquire knowledge so that the actions can be sound and correct based on proofs and evidences from the Qur'ān and the Sunnah. Actions are the manifestation of one's " Knowledge " and that's how knowledge actually benefits. So actions should follow the knowledge as per many textual proofs and also there is serious harm for those who don't act upon their knowledge and who don't correct themselves firstly- through acting upon the knowledge he has before correcting others. Action is the fruit of knowledge, actions without knowledge is resemblance to the Christians and knowledge without action resembles Jews. Fuḍayl ibn ʻIyāḍ said - The scholar continues to be ignorant until he acts according to his knowledge if he does so then he really becomes a scho...

Image
﷽ The levels of knowledge are 6 - ▪️ Al- 'Ilm (knowledge) - To comprehend the reality of something as it truly is with certainty. ▪️ Al Jahlul Baseet (Slight ignorance) - Lack of full comprehension. ▪️ Al Jahlul Murakkab (Compounded/Aggravated ignorance) - Comprehending something contrary to it's reality. ▪️ Al Wahm (Delusion) - To think that one truly comprehends something despite the presence of something which could cause him the realisation that he's incorrect. ▪️ Ash Shakk (doubt) - To comprehend something yet being aware of something contrary which one thinks that has the possibility of being the truth. ▪️ Dhann (Preponderant belief) - To comprehend something despite the presence of something contrary to it but which is less likely be true. Knowledge is classified into two categories - Durooree (inevitable) which is inevitably known without any need of investigation or proof. Such as the fact that fire is hot. Nadharee (speculative) which needs investigation or...

First matter: The Knowledge obligatory upon us to know

Image
﷽ What is this knowledge obligatory upon us to know and why did the author particularised these 3 matters? This knowledge obligatory upon us to know covers 3 matters - knowing Allāh , knowing His Prophet ﷺ and knowing Dīn Al-Islām with proofs and evidences . The author particularised these matters as they're the fundamentals of Dīn without which Islām cannot be established and these are the matters about which a person will be asked in the grave . It comprises the whole of the Dīn and should be given great attention for their tremendous benefits. It's the foundation and perfection of one's Islām. Knowledge and awareness of Allāh by heart  This necessitates accepting His Commands and yielding to what Allāh, the Most High Demands and to apply Sharī'ah which Prophet Muhammad  ﷺ brought. How Does a person really Know and be aware about Allāh? By contemplating the legislated signs and revealations in the Book of Allāh and in the Sunnah of His Messenger ﷺ. Also by contemplat...

Few Questions and Answers taken from the explanation of Ḥadīth 1

Image
﷽ Few Questions and Answers taken from the explanation •If someone leaves his home doing wudu for mosque and starts praying intending to pray the obligatory prayer of that time however without specifying in his intention whether it's dhur or Asr or Isha, will he be rewarded? - According to some belief, he won't be rewarded and he's told to repeat the prayer as he didn't specify it. However there's one narration of Imaam Ahmad which says it can be divisible that it's sufficient to intend performance of the obligatory prayer of that time and this is the correct opinion according to sheikh Uthaymin. So if someone begins praying in hurry without specifying the intention for Dhurh or Asr but just to perform the obligatory prayer of that time then he's not told to repeat the prayer according to the predominant view and this is the view which comforts the heart as many people even the Imaam may forget by mistake or distraction sometimes to specify it. • Is Jihaad b...

Benefits from Ḥadīth 1

Image
﷽ Benefits of this ḥadīth : ⚪It shows the importance and priority of pure intention . This ḥadīth is one of the 2 aḥādīth upon which the foundation of Islam lie s as said by the ʿUlamāʾ. It addresses the action of the heart- intention and the other ḥadīth which is the ḥadīth of ʿĀʾishah ( Whoever innovates something in this matter of ours (i.e. Islam) that is not part of it, will have it rejected ) is a reference for the actions of the limbs. It's very important as someone may have pure intention seeking الله but he innovates a lot- his innovated deeds will not benefit him at all even if his intention is pure . Another does the prayers perfectly however intending to show off and gain praise only, his deed will not be of benefit to him as it's ruined due to his wrong intention . ⚪Acts of worship should be distinguished from one another as well as worships and transactions should be distinguished from each other. ⚪Motivation to purify the intention for الله as Prophet ﷺ divided ...

Nikāh -meaning and some of it's benefits

Image
﷽ Meaning of Nikāh and few of it's benefits  نكاح,  Linguistically it may take the meaning of the marriage contract itself or it may also mean the actual legal sexual intercourse. Legally it means a contract between a man and a woman where each of them intends to enjoy the other, establish a good family and safe society at last . So the objective of nikāh is not solely enjoyment but also establishing a good family and safe society. Marriage is not just a civic contract but in fact it's a religious transaction that has it's rulings in the Qur'ān and Sunnah. An-Nisa' 4:3  فَٱنكِحُوا۟ مَا طَابَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلنِّسَآءِ مَثْنَىٰ وَثُلَٰثَ وَرُبَٰعَۖ   then marry (other) women of your choice, two or three, or four; So marriage is legalized in Islām as it establishes specific natural needs between a man and woman in a regulated manner which secures the honour and provides a meaningful relationship that fulfills this purpose and transcends beyond it by establishment of a ...

4 Matters Obligatory to Know

Image
﷽ The author started mentioning the name of الله saying (the Basmalaah)  بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم.   He said  'اعلم' (know) - it's an ettiquite of drawing attention so that the listener pays heed and be attentive concerning the knowledge that'll be presented to him . People can follow and utilize this ettiquite for addressing others to attract the attention of the one being addressed. Similar was done by Prophet ﷺ every now and then. This is to make the listener attentive to what will come next of the explanation. Then the author says 'رحمك الله' (May الله have Mercy on you) which really means that May الله Forgive you your previous sins and Guide you to what is good and correct in future and protect you from sins in future. This is when رحمة or mercy is used alone but when مغفرة or forgiveness is added to it, it means forgiveness from previous sins whereas رحمة refers to granting of what is good and protection from sins in future. These words show the care and...

Knowledge

Image
﷽ Knowledge Knowledge is one of the noblest thing one can ask for. When the ʿUlamāʾ speak about the term ' knowledge ' they mean the authentic ʾIslāmic knowledge which is the knowledge of the Book of Allāh, authentic sunnah of His Messenger ﷺ and all that assists in understanding these . This is the true and beneficial knowledge. The merits and virtues of knowledge varies depending on one's adherence to it. The greatest and most excellent of knowledge is knowledge pertaining to Allāh, His Names and Attributes known as ʿaqīdah and following this is that which is about His Rights over the creations, what He, the Most High Has Prescribed upon us. People of knowledge has been honoured and their status have been raised high by Allāh, the Most High. In fact He Made them to bear witness of His Oneness and Uniqueness with sincere devotion.

Benefits of knowing the reasons for revelations

Image
﷽ Below are listed some of the benefits of knowing the reasons for revelations - • It's a clear proof that Qur'ān was truly a revelation from Allaah as whenever he ﷺ would be asked about something he would sometimes not answer immidiately and would wait for an inspiration to descend upon him. Such as when he was asked by a jewish man about rūḥ, he ﷺ remained silent and didn't reply. The narrator, ʽAbdullah ibn Masʽūd knew that he ﷺ was recieving revealation and then he ﷺ stood in the same place as the narrator was standing and recited ʾĀyah 85 of soorah Al-Isrāʾ [Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 125 and Muslim 2794] And sometimes some incidents which occurred would be unknown or hidden and revealation would expose and clarify it. Such as ʾĀyah 8 of Soorah 63. Zayd Ibn Arqam heard  'Abdullāh ibn ‘Ubayy  make that comment where he referred himself as more honourable and Allaah's Messenger ﷺ and his companions as the meaner or humiliated. Zayd informed it to his uncle who informed it ...
