Few Questions and Answers taken from the explanation of Ḥadīth 1

Few Questions and Answers taken from the explanation

•If someone leaves his home doing wudu for mosque and starts praying intending to pray the obligatory prayer of that time however without specifying in his intention whether it's dhur or Asr or Isha, will he be rewarded?
- According to some belief, he won't be rewarded and he's told to repeat the prayer as he didn't specify it. However there's one narration of Imaam Ahmad which says it can be divisible that it's sufficient to intend performance of the obligatory prayer of that time and this is the correct opinion according to sheikh Uthaymin.
So if someone begins praying in hurry without specifying the intention for Dhurh or Asr but just to perform the obligatory prayer of that time then he's not told to repeat the prayer according to the predominant view and this is the view which comforts the heart as many people even the Imaam may forget by mistake or distraction sometimes to specify it.

Is Jihaad better or knowledge?
- Knowledge is better, Imaam Ahmad said "there's nothing that can equate with knowledge". Knowledge is needed for everyone while in case of Jihaad it's not proper that the believers go to fight all together rather only a party should go.
However depending on the individual and also the timing, Jihaad may become better. Such as when a person is brave and strong physically but weak in intelligence or memory, fighting is better and more suitable for him. On the other hand, someone who's physically weak but has strong memory and is intelligent, knowledge is better for him. Then when it's a time of ignorance everywhere, innovations spread, in such a time seeking knowledge is more needed but in a time when enemies attack the Muslims, attacking everyone, if someone sits in library saying knowledge is better then that'll be foolishness because in that time blocking the enemy and defending is more needed.

What is Hijrah and is it obligatory?
- Mainly it's moving to land of Islaam from land of kufr. In short, when it's a kufr land and a person is able to manifest his religion freely without being opposed then migration to a land of Islaam is not obligatory but recommended otherwise it's obligatory.
As for migration from a land where sins are spread a lot and people do them openly, if he fears that he'll be affected and inclined to commit the evil deeds himself then he must migrate but if he's able to advise the people there and propagate the religion, forbid evil and enjoin good then he should stay there to rectify the society instead of leaving people indulged in misguidance and misdeeds so that he'll correct the others and others will correct others leading the whole society being corrected. Because if all righteous people leave and evil people outnumber the correct one then the sins will spread more.

What is meant by migration to Allaah and His Messenger ﷺ, is it permissible to migrate to Prophet ﷺ after his death?
- It means to migrate for Allâh's sake seeking His rewards and to be in company with His Prophet ﷺ. But after his ﷺ death there's no emigration to him (as a person), now we only migrate to his Sunnah and his islaamic law. The emigration to Allaah is always open but emigration to His Prophet ﷺ was legal only when he was alive. Just like how we're said to refer the matter on which there's dispute to Allaah and His Messenger. Refering the matter to Allaah is for everytime but refering to Prophet ﷺ directly is only during his lifetime, as for now we refer to his Sunnah.
